FAQ
The things everybody asks.
- How much food should I order?
- Food is sold by the pan. A small pan serves 15–20 guests; a large serves 30–40 guests. Tell us your guest count and we'll recommend quantities — you can adjust our recommendation, but we won't be responsible for shortages if it's cut back.
- How far ahead do I need to order?
- At least 7 days for a standard drop-off order. Weddings and large events should be booked as early as you can — dates go first, and the deposit is what reserves them.
- What's the deposit?
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is due when you approve the final menu. That reserves your date and time, and it comes off the final balance. The rest is due 10 days before the event.
- Why don't I see prices on the menu?
- Menu pricing is being finalised. Every dish shows its size and how many it serves, and we send a written quote before anything is confirmed — so you'll never be surprised by a number.
- What's added to the price?
- A service charge of 10%, 15% or 20% — set for each event, and shown on your quote — calculated on the food subtotal only, and 6.625% New Jersey sales tax, which applies to the food, the service charge, and any staffing or delivery we bill. Staffing and equipment — servers, bartenders, chafing stations, sternos, linens, utensils, setup, cleanup — are extra and itemised on their own lines; the service charge is not calculated on them. Gratuity for the crew is entirely at your discretion and is separate from everything above.
- How can I pay?
- Cash or certified funds. We don't take card payments online at the moment.
- Do you deliver, and is there a fee?
- We deliver across new jersey & the greater new york metropolitan area. Any delivery fee depends on distance and appears on your quote before you commit.
- Can you handle allergies and dietary needs?
- Yes. Tell us who and what when you enquire, and we'll build around it rather than leaving somebody with a side salad. Please flag serious allergies explicitly so the kitchen can plan for them.
- Do you provide staff, chafing stations and linens?
- Yes — servers, bartenders, chafing stations, sternos, linens, utensils, setup and cleanup. They're priced separately so you only pay for what you actually want.
- What happens if there's a snowstorm?
- We're not liable for an inability to provide services caused by acts of nature or circumstances beyond our control — hurricanes, snow storms, floods, states of emergency. In practice, we'll call you early and work it out.
